The Applied Technology Group (ATG) is a collection of technical designers and specialists focusing on the research, application, and development of design and construction related technologies that enhance the breadth and depth of SHoP’s architectural and construction services. The ATG engages on projects where project ambitions require specialized technical knowledge related to one of the group’s core areas of expertise: Digital Design, Environment and Energy, Building Technologies, and emerging Project Delivery methods. The ATG's research is aimed at the development of fundamental knowledge and techniques both internally and in collaboration with other industry professionals with the intent to disseminate to the AEC community. The ATG is also part of several interdisciplinary teams focused on research and development of next?generation, building?integrated, renewable energy systems and on software applications for integrated building performance analysis and design.
