Residential Renovation

The design for this residential loft in SoHo is a modern take on the classic loft typology. The southern portion of the apartment is a large, open living space with an emphasis on original details: exposed brick, cast iron columns, and massive timber beams. The northern portion is a clean, modern space finished with a refined material palette of stainless steel, Corian, and white marble. SHoP Construction provided integrated design-build services, developing the design in collaboration with the Owner Dean DiSimone with Audra Tuskes and SHoP Architects; SHoP Construction also served as the construction manager, undertaking sole responsibility for construction contracting, on-site management, site safety and QA/QC during construction. By taking responsibility for the project from conception through completion, SHoP was able to act as the single point of contact to deliver a high quality project while maintaining cost control.
