FIT A-Labs
SHoP Construction is providing integration services for the Fashion Institute of Technology's A-Labs project, located in New York, NY. This 60,000SF renovation is currently under construction and scheduled for completion in the fall of 2010. SHoP’s services included the delivery of the virtual model currently being utilized in the field to build the project. The virtual model was delivered by SHoP Construction during the preconstruction phase and is consistently being updated during construction as a result of direct interaction with the multiple prime contractors. Our project team works with the contractors in the project iRoom and in the field to ensure proper installation of building systems and components. The FIT A-Labs project is a Wick's Law project overseen and administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY).
